Add a travel eSIM to every booking.
Your customer has booked the trip. One API call adds mobile data for the destination, and Num emails them the eSIM under your brand name. No stock, no SIM cards, no support desk for telecoms.
Where it fits in a booking
- At checkout, as an add-on beside insurance and transfers: call the catalogue for the destination, show two or three plans, and place the order when the booking is paid.
- After booking, in the confirmation email or the trip page: offer data for the dates they are travelling.
- As an inclusion: issue a small plan with every package and let the customer top it up themselves.
What you do, and what Num does
- You decide which plans to offer and what to charge. The API gives you a wholesale price and a suggested retail price for each plan; the difference is your margin.
- Num issues the eSIM, returns the QR code and install links, and can email it to your customer with your brand name as the sender name and heading. Replies go to your support address.
- If an eSIM cannot be issued, the charge is reversed automatically and you are told by webhook, so a booking never ends with a customer charged for data they did not get.
What it takes to integrate
- Two endpoints for a first version: the catalogue and the order. Most teams have a sandbox order working in an afternoon.
- A sandbox that needs no approval, with test credit and demo eSIMs, so you can build before anyone has agreed anything commercial.
- A go-live checklist that tracks itself, so you know your integration handles a delayed eSIM and a short balance before real customers find out.
Common questions
Do we need a telecoms licence or a contract with a carrier?
No. You are selling a prepaid data plan that Num provides. There is no carrier contract for you to sign and no stock to hold.
Who handles the customer if the eSIM does not work?
You are the seller, so the customer comes to you first. Install problems are nearly always one of three things, which our help pages cover, and we support you directly for anything else.
Can we price in our own currency?
Yes. You pay Num in US dollars; what you charge your customer, and in which currency, is yours to decide.
Try it before you talk to anyone
The sandbox is yours the moment you sign up: $100 of test credit, demo eSIMs, the full API. Live access and pricing are a short conversation once you have seen it work.
